During my recent stay at Independente, I found the blend of luxury and value particularly intriguing. The property is charmingly situated near Comporta, providing a serene atmosphere while still being accessible to the beach. My room was spacious and well-decorated, complete with a comfortable bed and essential amenities, including complimentary toiletries and a flat-screen TV. Dining experiences were enjoyable; the complimentary breakfast was satisfactory, and the Caesar salad by the pool had perfectly cooked anchovies. Highlights included a superb cocktail and an excellent portion of mussels. The poolside pizza service ends rather early at 6:45 PM, which may be inconvenient. While the staff provided wonderful service, some could benefit from additional training. For those considering a beachside escape, Independente presents a compelling case of reasonable luxury amid tranquil surroundings.
